All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign. Sponsored by My Montgomery Vet.
Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Dixon is a five-year old male Pyrenees/Shep mix, 125 lbs. He came to us from an owner unable to care for him. He is housetrained and a HUGE lover boy! Dixon loves walks and getting lots of love and playing with balls. But Dixon does NOT like water. This special fella even helped save another dog by being a blood donor for an emergency case at a local vet!”
The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
