All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign. Sponsored by My Montgomery Vet.
Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Dakota is a six-year-old male German Shepherd originally found as a stray, brought to us, and never reclaimed. He is a wonderfully friendly boy, knows sit, down, speak, shake, but doesn’t seem to care about toys. He was adopted but returned as he wanted to eat the chickens and ducks so not fowl where he can get to them. Housetrained & leash trained. Good with male & female dogs. Around 65 lbs.”
The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
