Come join the excitement of Montgomery’s longest standing competitive running event! Montgomery Jubilee Runs are now set for May 16th, 2026 This iconic Montgomery event features competitive runs/walk on a 8K USATF certified course and the Peggy Lanier 2-Mile. The Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) has bestowed the designation of Alabama 8K State Championship for this race!
The River Region Runners’ Club is proud to plan, organize, and host the 2026 Montgomery Jubilee Run in its 47th year. This year’s event will raise funds for the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches. The runs will be staged from historic Old Alabama Town.
The 8K running event attracts runners from all over the River Region, Alabama, and beyond! State running records have been established at many of past Jubilee Runs and promises to add more to the record book. In addition to the 8K, there will be a 2-mile run/walk in honor of Peggy McLendon Lanier.
Race Information:
Courses: The USATF 8K (AL19019JE) certified course will be well marked. The 8K (map) and 2M go through historic downtown Montgomery and the surrounding neighborhoods with an exhilarating downhill finish to Old Alabama Town!
Aid Stations: Water stations will be located along the courses.
Traffic: Traffic control will be provided by the Montgomery Police Department.
Chip Timing: The 8K and 2-Mile runs/walk are chip timed events. All awards are based on race gun time per USATF Rule 245.1.
