All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign. Sponsored by My Montgomery Vet.
Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Jack is a 20-month-old male Heeler looking mix, 32 lbs, found as a stray, brought to us and never reclaimed. He is a great dog – very smart, active, responsive, good with other dogs. Jack is HIGH energy and loves to run! We have had to chase him down a few times even here so he needs a very active owner and a really good fence to keep him safe. He is good with other dogs; a job to do would be best – on a farm with cattle maybe or doing dog sports!”
The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
