All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign. Sponsored by My Montgomery Vet.
Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Punkin is a six-year-old, female Siberian Husky, about 45 lbs, surrendered to us for being too active. She loves squeaky toys and also loves destroying tennis balls. We were told she is good with cats once she knows them but since she has a high prey drive towards small animals (squirrels and the like), lets just say no to cats for their sake. She is great with other dogs and good with older children (bit too much for the little ones). Punkin is a super sweet & beautiful lady indeed.”
The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
