All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign. Sponsored by My Montgomery Vet.

Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Rambo is a ten-year old ShihTzu & Gorilla is a nine-year-old male Chihuahua that must be adopted together.  They came to us when their owner could no longer care for them.  Both are very chunky boys as Rambo is 28 lbs & Gorilla is 18 lbs.  Both are very, very sweet and deserve lot of loving (and some more exercise) for the 2nd half of their lives.  They are good with other dogs but Gorilla does get very jealous of other dogs (except for Rambo) getting any attention.  They do bark at one of our office cats but he teases them and bark is all they do. No children please.  They have done very well on the housetraining front while in our office and they absolutely love attention from people.”

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
