All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign. Sponsored by My Montgomery Vet.

Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “We have no idea why lovely Freya has not been adopted in the seven-months she has been with us.  She is an absolutely wonderful female Lab mix, 1 ½ years old, about 55 lbs. Freya loves everyone, including children, and wants to be leaning on/touching her new person at all times.  She knows sit & shake and is curious about toys.  She is good with other dogs & has met many new dogs at off-site adoption events with nary an issue.  She is fine with cats and is just a wonderful friendly, loving and happy girl. 

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
