All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign.

Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Ryder is an 11-month-old male Catahoula/Husky mix, about 50 lbs.  He is a super dog, does have lots of energy so needs to go to an active family/owner and is good with children.  He loves playing fetch, knows sit and shake, loves toys.  We were told he was good with cats but his higher energy play might not be well-liked by many cats. Ryder would be an outstanding running/hiking buddy!”

The adoption fees are $100 for dogs and $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing.  This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.
