Come join the excitement of Montgomery’s longest standing competitive running event! Montgomery Jubilee Runs are set for Saturday, May 20th, 2023. This iconic Montgomery event features competitive runs/walk on 8K and 2-Mile USATF certified courses. The Jubilee 8K Run is also serving as the Road Runners Club of America Alabama State Championship!. The 8K will start at 7:30AM and the 2-Mile Run and Walk at 8:30AM.
The River Region Runners’ Club is proud to plan, organize, and host the 2023 Montgomery Jubilee Run in its 44th year. This year’s event will raise funds for the Alabama Sheriffs Youth Ranches. The runs will be staged from historic Old Alabama Town on Columbus Street in downtown Montgomery.
The 8K running event attracts runners from all over the River Region, Alabama, and beyond! In addition to the 8K, there will be a 2-mile run in honor of Peggy McLendon Lanier. They’ve added a walk division to the Peggy Lanier Memorial 2 mile to encourage all levels of fitness!
Your race registration includes one (1) race shirt (quantities limited), one (1) Montgomery Biscuits game ticket, post race snacks and refreshments. All participants will be entered to win one of many fine door prizes donated by area businesses. Plus, there will be a post race awards ceremony for the top finishers.
Race packet pick-up is Friday, May 19 (3-6PM) at Old Alabama Town (301 Columbus Street) and on race day, Saturday, May 20, 6AM-7:15AM. Only late packet pick-up on the day of the race for registered runners. Packets will contain your official race number and Jubilee Run shirts.
