Pet of the Week: Curtis [PHOTOS]

All of us at I-92 WLWI love our pets, and know so many loving dogs and cats at the Humane Society of Elmore County would love to have their forever home with a loving family. That’s why we’re stepping up to create awareness with the Pet of the Week campaign.

Here’s our latest Pet of the Week! The shelter shares, “Curtis looks to be a male Bulldog/Catahoula mix, about two-years old, & 60 lbs. He was a stray that showed up at a family’s home and he could have stayed but was stealing all the neighbor’s packages. He is a very loving dog, wants to be a big lap dog, but he is also a LOT of dog and will take you skiing on a leash if you are not prepared. He is quite striking in appearance, good with dogs, but not good with cats. We have treated him for heartworms and he says time to find his forever home!”

Adoption fees are $100 for dogs & $50 for cats under one-year-old; cats over one-year-old can be adopted by approved adopters for a fee of their choosing. This adoption fee completely covers the mandatory spay or neuter, basic immunizations, de-worming, microchip, heartworm check for dogs, rabies vaccination if old enough, free health exam with your participating veterinarian.

If you are interested in meeting any of our pets, please first email the shelter at [email protected].
