John Rich stopped by a Montgomery ABC liquor store to meet fans, as he surprised everyone by performing an acoustic set, and I-92 was there to capture it on video!
The whole thing came about in celebration of the launch of John’s Redneck Riviera Whiskey. He jumped on his tour bus and made his way to the new ABC store in Montgomery on Eastchase Parkway. Lots of fans gathered to meet the country superstar, get a bottle signed and take a photo. What nobody expected, John Rich came out with a guitar strapped around his shoulder ready to play!
I-92’s Greg Thomas interviewed John Rich leading up to the meet and greet event, explaining his passion for this American whiskey and plans to give back. Profits support Folds of Honor, a college fund for kids who lost a parent in combat.

Talk about a BIG entrance with a guitar strapped on ready to sing! What else would you expect, right? The crowd was electric cheering, as John Rich began to strum that guitar singing the Buck Owens song, “Act Naturally.” Before sitting down, John shared the inspiration for his whiskey and performed one more song, “Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy).” Oh yeah, the signaturte party anthem from Big & Rich!
