You don’t have to leave the area to have Mardi Gras FUN! We’ve gathered up info on a few area events, check it out!

Millbrook Revelers Mardi Gras Festival and Parade
9AM – Festival grounds open
Noon – Parade
Where: Village Green Park, Millbrook
Cost: FREE
The Millbrook Revelers Mardi Gras festival is called the largest Mardi Gras celebration north of Mobile and with over 60 vendors on site. There will be pony rides for the kids, climbing wall, and the zip ride.

Montgomery Mardi Gras Block Party & Cajun Cook-Off featuring Rebirth Brass Band, hosted by DBA
Noon – 4PM
Where: Commerce Street downtown Montgomery
Cost: Free to attend, $25 for a cook-off ticket
Enjoy a FREE block party in Montgomery featuring New Orleans’ Rebirth Brass Band. Plus, there will be plenty of food to sample from the cook-off (tickets $25 at gate or $20 in advance at FreshTix.com). Event is happening from Noon until 4PM.

Auburn Peace, Love and Mardi Gras, hosted by Krewe de Tigris
5PM – Parde in downtown Auburn
This year, 35 parade floats are expected to travel a one mile square through downtown Auburn. Featured floats and participants include the Mardi Gras court which will carry the 2018 King, Mark Kantor and Queen, Mary Helen Martin, the Krewe de Tigris member float, the kids club float sporting super heroes, area high school bands, and business sponsored floats. Krewe de Tigris is sponsoring the Exceptional Foundation float as well as the Lee County Humane Society who will be walking dogs that will be available for adoption. “Last year after the parade, the LCHS adopted out twelve dogs that walked. The Krewe is proud to have them in the parade again. We hope they can adopt out all their dogs this year!” Barry Dorman, Krewe chairman.
