Memorial Ride for Auburn Police Officer William Buechner

This Saturday, there will be a no fee, memorial ride for Officer Buechner, as well as a show of ride for Officers Evan Elliott and Webb Sistrunk. They were fired upon while responding to a domestic disturbance call at a mobile home park in Auburn. Officer Buechner lost his life. He left behind, his wife Sara and 2 children, McKenna and Henry.

Event organizer Jeff Persinger says, “there is no fee for this ride because I want to flood Auburn with as many bikers showing support, for our brothers and sisters in blue, as we can get. We will be, however, collecting donations from anyone that wishes to donate to his family. All money collected will be donated to a college fund for his children. Come on out and ride with us and pay tribute to this brave hero, that made the ultimate sacrifice, as well as showing support for the two that are recovering. More details will follow. We will be riding from Montgomery to Auburn but I haven’t set the exact route. Please share this event and spread the word. Thanks. See y’all there.”
